Briggs is SEVEN!
Happy Birthday wishes to my oldest son, Briggs. It really is hard to believe that he is SEVEN! We are so proud of him. He is turning into such a nice, young boy. It brings us a lot of joy to watch him care for his baby sisters (his little brother is a different matter). We started a wonderful tradition with Briggs that we hope someday he cherishes. Each year we write him a birthday letter. We spend a lot of time on these letters...explaining his favorite things that year, milestones, funny moments, hilarious quotes, how he has touched our hearts, etc. We then seal them in an envelope and place them in a special box. We plan to give these letters to him at high school graduation or some other major event. He will have documented evidence of how much we have loved him from the day he was born. By the way, Nate captured this great image of Briggs last summer while he was playing in the sprinkler. Love the water dropplets falling around him. And, this is so a look he gives!

I LOVE this kid!!! It is amazing how fast he has grown and continues to grow. He is no longer a baby, but growing into a person. He is such a pain in my ass and the worse is yet to come. Sorry I could not be there for the party. Helena said it was a lot of fun and Rudytoons was great.
I will be sure to find a cool gift in Atlanta for the punk. I'm sure he eagerly awaits my big kiss.
