Home Again.

California is pretty kick ass. I saw some of the most amazing land I have ever seen. I loved Monterey! The foothills reminded me of Utah or Montana, but better. At dusk the light was crazy. Simply put an artists dream. I have to say; photographers from this region of the country have it easy in regards to light and backdrops. You want to test your skills move to the Midwest.
In the proximity of Castroville, I witnessed the Eden of Agriculture. My surroundings brought John Steinbeck’s book The Grapes of Wrath to mind. Once in Monterey I confirmed this was the geographic location of Steinbeck’s work. I wish I had had a week to travel the back roads of this area alone.
The wedding was great. I hope to have it edited and posted for you to view in two weeks. Keep checking.
This image was taken on State Highway 68 near Old Hilltown. The farmer had several cutouts posing in different position and tasks in his field. It was cool.
